Our pharmacist assesses your malaria risk and what prevention is appropriate for your destination, trip duration and health history.
If a preventive treatment is clinically appropriate, it's arranged during your visit — no need to visit a GP or return another day.
You leave the clinic with your prevention plan, any treatment, dosing instructions, and bite-prevention advice.
Whatever prevention is right for you, bite prevention is equally important.
Use DEET repellent
Apply 50% DEET insect repellent to exposed skin, especially from dusk to dawn when Anopheles mosquitoes are most active.
Cover up at dusk
Wear long-sleeved tops and long trousers in the evenings. Light-coloured clothing is easier to spot mosquitoes on.
Sleep under a net
Use a permethrin-treated bed net in rural or jungle areas. Check for gaps and tuck it under the mattress each night.
Stay in air-conditioned rooms
Mosquitoes don't thrive in air conditioning. In budget accommodation, use a plug-in mosquito killer or coils.
Free travel consultation. The exact cost of any treatment is confirmed during your appointment — no hidden fees. No GP referral needed.
